Key Features:

Uptime - Greenidge designed the air flow and filter systems to optimize for uptime and longevity.

  1. Airflow is designed to minimize Internal Vortex Force, which means that fans and intake are engineered to move high quantities of air with neutral pressure force and low air velocities, promoting miner life and uptime.
  2. Upblast fan arrangement discharges hot air from the pod vertically, decreasing noise output and eliminating hot air recirculation.
  3. Contaminant prevention system includes washable and re-usable filter screens, enabling easy maintenance and replacement cost savings while reducing contaminants entering the ASICs fleet.

Capital Efficiency - The Pod X offers a high site density, enabling savings in site improvement and electrical costs. Boasting a fleet capacity of 792 miners, the Pod X can house 35% more ASICs than other container solutions currently available. This reduces the pod's infrastructure dollar-to-kilowatt cost ratio: for a total price of $442,000, the Pod X comes out to $158/kW versus industry standards ranging from $160-170/kW.

Decibel Output - The Pod X is also substantially quiet, coming in at 82db versus industry standards at 90-100 db. This feature is especially useful for mining operations located in areas with neighboring residents and businesses, mitigating risks associated with legal disputes and noise pollution complaints.

Safety Standards - Designs are certified by licensed Professional Engineers (PEs) to meet National Electric Code safety standards. All circuit protection, panels, short circuit rating and means of disconnect are compliant for Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and with Short Circuit and Arc Flash requirements. there is no live exposed wiring, lowering chances of electrical accidents and providing protection for on-site personnel.

Value Proposition:

The Greenidge Pod X stands out for its deliberate engineering and optimized efficiency. It is not just designed for mining; it is designed by miners with attention to the details that matter most.

Greenidge actively uses the Pod X for its self-mining operations. As a vertically integrated datacenter and power generation company, the company has deployed 75 MW of Pod X containers across New York, South Carolina, Mississippi and North Dakota. Boasting a total hashrate of 1.2EH/s with sites in the U.S. and Canada, Greenidge designed the Pod X from first principles based on a deep understanding of the demands for efficient bitcoin mining.

For miners looking to deploy the Pod X, Greenidge's Engineering team also provides necessary documentation for AHJ permitting approval, in addition to support services related to engineering, procurement, construction management and operations. The Pod X deployment journey begins with preliminary engineering surveys on-site, after which a budget is established to solicit contractors and meet local permitting requirements. Current lead times for deployment are around 12-16 weeks.

Whether you are scaling up your operation or seeking a reliable infrastructure solution, the Pod X ensures that you get the most out of your investment.
